Genesis School for Special Education is a private school for children with special learning needs. The primary function of the school is to provide affordable, educational services to children with an IQ range of between 70 and 120 with specific learning disabilities, as well as processing and attention control issues. These children are unable to function or learn in a normal classroom environment where special education resource services are either limited or unavailable. Genesis School's commitment to providing highly-trained, degreed special education teachers, in-class therapy supports, and an exceptionally high teacher-student ratio results in forty percent of our students being placed successfully into a mainstream classroom after one to three years of intensive intervention. Genesis School for Special Education is a child-centered, family-oriented program providing full-time and resource educational services to students with special needs, including Language Delay, Language Disorder, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder and Developmental Delay. The continuum of services starts with Early Intervention for young children considered to be at risk and continuing to the Pre-School, Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School academic levels, as well as providing Life Skills and Pre-Vocational Classes for order students who have reached their academic potential. Genesis School for Special Education is based on the premise that every child has a right to an education. It is our responsibility to maximize the academic, social and physical potential of each and every child. It is also our responsibility to provide a nurturing, structured and safe environment in which to learn. Recognizing that children with special learning
needs beneit from a multifaceted approach to learning, Genesis School
